JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
JENDOCO CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION, a General Contractor and Construction Management company
serving Western Pennsylvania, is seeking a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER for work at our office in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Manage all aspects of construction to successfully deliver projects on budget, on schedule, safely, that meet
all programmatic and quality expectations.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
– Development and implementation of project site logistics plan
– Development and maintenance of the project schedule and phasing plan
– Development and award of bid packages to subcontractors and vendors
– Weekly coordination meetings with both subcontractors and Owner / Design team
– Budget maintenance including monthly executive reports and Cost Event Management
– Coordination of work in place and upcoming activities with the project superintendent and
subcontractors
– Facilitate communications with the owner/design team/subcontractors
– Management of the RFI and submittal process.
– Development and implementation of sustainability strategies
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
– Minimum 10 years of experience working in the commercial construction industry
– Must have own housing and transportation.
– Understanding of all facets of commercial construction including, but not limited to, higher-education,
institutional, office, retail, health care, warehouse/manufacturing, and multi-unit residential
– Knowledge of Pittsburgh Market preferred, but not required.
– Excellent writing and verbal communication, organizational, time-management and problem-solving
skills.
– Intrapersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, and influence) are essential, as are the abilities to both lead and
work within a project team.
– Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Familiarity with BIM is a plus, but not
necessary.
– Sustainability knowledge and credentials including LEED, LBC, WELL, and/or Passive House preferred
– Computer skills including: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook,…), Microsoft Project, Submittal
Exchange, Blue Beam, Spectrum or similar Job Costing Software
